Jacques Boulay (photo 1) passed away on 23 February 2018.
He was a member of the AAVA until he motorised his Condor.
At that time he was behind the private hangar he shared with Tatave (Jacques Tavernier).
He first designed and built a glider, which was taken over by Ravel, an enthusiast of old machines.
From this prototype came the Condor, first a pure glider (photo 2) and then a motorised one (photo 3).
Jacques has also restored a number of aircraft, the latest being the Jodel 113, taken from a 112 that he bought as a wreck and was still flying.
He also built a Variez (photo 4).
His wife, Monique, was a very active volunteer with the AAVA and is still very interested in the Association: she watches the net cup and never misses an opportunity to celebrate with us and with the ACMV.
She made her last Pegasus flight a few years ago and is still active in Vinon's social life. She paints and exhibits her watercolours, takes care of dependent people...
