Welcome

The last major part of the Duo EI's regelcoat was the fuselage, which was started on 28 January.

A series of smaller parts were also refurbished: gear doors, nose wheel receptacle, rear caster fairing, wing caster fairings, canopy tower strip, etc.

On 1 March, the completed fuselage was put back on trailer to await the start of its annual inspection.

The total number of hours spent on this project is, as announced, close to 650.

I would like once again to thank Philippe and Birgit, who made a major contribution to the success of this operation, through their efficient participation and their always boundless energy.

I would also like to thank all those who were unable to take part in the work but still came to the workshop to encourage us or to compliment us on the value of the work they had done.

Long live Echo India! The re-gelcoating, although it didn't pose any particular problems, was nevertheless long and tiring for those who sanded and polished. So, from now on, take good care of it, because this gelcoat should last a good twenty years! ...</>
