‘It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mr Jacques Legalland at the beginning of this year. Jacques was an active and devoted member of the Association Aéronautique Verdon Alpilles, of which he was for many years a director and a member of the Bureau. He was not only the AAVA's electricity man, but also the owner of a Stemme, which enabled many young people, including the President's children, to discover gliding in our beautiful mountains. Jacques was particularly well known and appreciated for his warm smile and dedication.

Jacques courageously battled illness for many years. These health problems led him to sell his Stemme, and to detach himself from our association. His memory must remain engraved in our hearts, and inspire those who were lucky enough to know him.
